Listed are Features & Add-ons offered by MTS Mobility. These are services that can be added onto your phone.

Calling Features

Wireless Call Display
$5 per month
Call Display gives you the flexibility to choose to answer an incoming call or customize your greeting based on the calling party! Prioritize your calls by combining Call Display with Call Waiting to see incoming calling numbers while you’re on the phone.

Note: Some analog handsets do not support Call Display.
Wireless Call Forwarding
$2 per month
Program your MTS Mobility phone for Call Forward and you’ll always be accessible without giving out your phone number to others. Redirect incoming calls from your cell phone to your home phone, office number, voice mail, pager, or anywhere in Canada and the U.S.
  • Call Forward Immediate will redirect all calls as soon as your number is called.
  • Call Forward No Answer allows calls to be forwarded only when you’re away from your phone or when you choose not to take the call.
  • Call Forward Busy will forward your second caller to the destination of your choice when you’re busy on another call.
Note: Regular airtime charges apply to forwarded calls. Long distance charges will apply if you are forwarding your calls to a number outside your home calling area.
Wireless Call Waiting
Included
Call Waiting allows you to answer a second call without hanging up on your first call. You’ll hear a two-beep tone telling you that another caller is waiting.

If you subscribe to Call Display and Voice Mail you can see who’s calling and decide whether to take your second call or have it directly go to your voice mail.

Note: Airtime charges will apply on both calls, if you accept the second call.
Wireless Conference Calling
Included
Conference Calling or 3-Way Calling allows you to add on a third person to your phone calls. The feature is included with most calling plans and is available as soon as your phone is activated! Host a meeting on the move, or organize the upcoming weekend with a couple of pals.

Note: Airtime charges apply to both calls.

Group Ring
$5 per month
When you can’t afford to miss a call, Group Ring is the wireless calling feature for you.

With Group Ring, you can have up to 5 MTS Mobility cell phones ring at the same time when just one number is dialed! One phone acts as a Pilot Number and triggers ringing on any of the member phones associated with it. Running a small office with mobile employees? Publicize the pilot number and ensure calls are always answered. The member phones have their own phone numbers and can still be dialed directly - the Pilot Number is the only number that triggers the group ringing!

This feature is ideal if you have an in-car phone and a portable phone - provide one number and keep the other private. For only $5/month (billed to the Pilot Number), make sure you always get the call!


Simultaneous Ring
$9 per month
When you can’t afford to miss a call - Simultaneous Ring is the Calling Feature that tracks you down faster than any other "follow-me" service.

Simultaneous Ring enables a caller to dial just one number to reach you, at up to 3 different phones. It lets you take your calls wherever you’ll be, whether it’s the satellite office, at home, or from your cellular phone.

Messaging Options

Wireless MiniMail
$5 per month
MiniMail service keeps you accessible by taking messages for you when you’re unavailable and lets you respond to callers at your convenience. MiniMail service also allows you to customize your greeting and retrieve messages from your cell phone or any other phone.

MTS Mobility has made it easier for you to know if you have a message. A Digital PCS phone includes a message waiting tone, or a light that displays an envelope icon to let you know that a new message is waiting. Analog phones include a message waiting tone (when placing or receiving a call) to let you know messages are waiting in your mailbox.

Note: Airtime charges apply when accessing MiniMail service from your cell phone. While roaming out of province, long distance charges may apply, in addition to airtime and roaming charges. When using a landline Touch Tone™ phone to access your messages, long distance charges may apply, but airtime charges will not apply.


Wireless Voice Mail
$8 per month
Voice Mail can notify you at another phone number (including a pager number) that you have new messages. Voice Mail also allows you to receive up to 25 messages that can be saved for up to 25 days. Unheard messages will be stored for 14 days. You’ll also be able to record and forward comments on messages.

A Digital PCS phone includes a message waiting tone or light that displays an envelope icon to let you know a message is waiting. Analog phones include a message waiting (when placing or receiving a call) to let you know messages are waiting in your mailbox.

Note: Airtime charges apply when accessing Voice Mail from your cell phone. While roaming out of province, long distance charges may apply, in addition to airtime and roaming charges. When using a landline Touch Tone™phone to access your messages, long distance charges may apply, but airtime charges will not apply.


Combined Mailbox
$5 per month
Combine your cell phone mailbox with your home mailbox and get all your messages in one place. Your messages will go to one mailbox whether the caller dialed your cell phone or your home phone.

With MTS Combined Mailbox service, you’ll never have to check your cell phone and home phone mailboxes separately again. You’ll hear a stuttered dial tone on both your cell phone and home phone to let you know you have a message waiting (you may also see a visual message waiting indicator with a compatible set). You can pick up all your messages from any phone.
Text Messaging Plans
Plans vary by the amount of text messages you can send each month with received messages being free of charge. Monthly plans available:
  • $10/month ~ unlimited text messages
  • $5/month ~ 100 text messages
  • Pay Per Use ~ 15ø/message
  • International text messages ~ 20ø per sent message
Note: International Text Messaging is a pay per use service and is not included in any text messaging plan. Messages sent or received using short codes may be subject to additional charges over the monthly text messaging plan.

Data Features

Unlimited Mobile Browser Plan
$5 per month
Sign up now for Unlimited Mobile Browser service for only $5 a month and get unlimited kilobytes on all activities within Canada using Mobile Browser service, such as:

  • Browsing – checking weather, local news and more
  • Sending and receiving Picture and Video messages*
  • Browsing and downloading purchased Ringers, Screen Savers, Games and Video Downloads*

    • *Note: per message sent or download charges still apply for Get Stuff, video downloads, and picture/video messaging.
    BlackBerry Unlimited Email and Surf
    $40 per month
    The $40 Unlimited Email & Surf feature provides unlimited Canadian wireless data usage allowing you to access unlimited on-device personal email, instant messaging and web browsing exclusively on your BlackBerry® smartphone device. This data feature does not provide customers the ability to tether their data device.

    * Minimum 36-month term/$19.99 Calling Plan with BlackBerry® Pearl 8130 or BlackBerry® Curve 8330 (other handsets not eligible). Unlimited Internet and Email access only available in Canada (U.S data roaming is $8/MB). Tethered Internet access not included.
    Windows Live Messenger
    $5 per month plus standard Mobile Browser service charges
    • You can connect with your Windows Live Messenger contacts on the go.
    • Add new contacts, and send and reply to messages.
    • Change your online status and see the online status of your contacts.
    • Use your favourite emoticons in your messages.
    Note: Available on selected handsets where technology permits.
    Mobile Suite Email Solution
    Mobile Suite is a wireless push email solution that enables you to receive email, calendar, contacts, and other updates from your wireless handheld mobile device.
    • Mobile Suite $9/month ~ provides access to IMAP & POP3 Email Accounts.
    • Mobile Suite Business $15/month ~ provides email access to IMAP, POP3, plus Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino Corporate Email.
    MTS Wi-Fi

    Wi-Fi enables you to access the Internet through wireless technology. MTS is taking your Internet access outside of your home and into public locations and businesses around Manitoba. All you need is a Wi-Fi enabled device and an MTS Mobility account, or a valid credit card to access your email and browse the Internet on the go.

    MTS already has Wi-Fi locations in Winnipeg, Brandon, Virden and Hendingley, and the list of locations continues to grow. As a MTS Mobility Wi-Fi customer, your Wi-Fi plans will also provide you access to any FatPort® Wi-Fi location within Canada.

    • Unlimited Wi-Fi - $20 per month.
    • Hourly Wi-Fi - $1.50 per hour.
    Static IP
    $10 per month
    Static IP provides an Internet IP address that does not change when your wireless device is connected to the 1x data network. It is available for only $10/month when subscribing to an Email & Surf Data Plan or a Talk, Email & Surf Plan.

    Is there someone special you like to spend a lot of time talking to? Do you need to call in to the office and spend several minutes clearing your workload? We have the answer for you.

    Simply subscribe to this option for $5/month and make up to 50 unlimited calls each month to one predetermined local number.

    Available with all regular Cellular calling plans ($25+ per month).
    Premium Clock
    $5 per month
    Turn back your clock* and start your unlimited evening calling time at 6:00 PM instead of 8:00 PM with Premium Clock.
    * Available on plans with unlimited evenings and weekends with an 8 pm clock. Some promotional plans may be excluded.

    Wireless Detailed Billing
    $3 per month
    Can’t remember everyone you call during the month? Want to split your cellular airtime between family members? No problem!

    Detailed Billing provides a statement of all calls showing:
    • the time
    • date
    • duration
    • number called (to or from your cellular phone)
    Detailed Billing provides information on local as well as long distance calls.
    Text to Park
    Use text messaging to pay for parking at select Impark lots. It’s simple, just park your vehicle, text your parking request, and be on your way. To register send a text message to PARK (7275 on your keypad) following the instructions on Impark signage.

    Charges include the regular Text Messaging charge on your cell phone.     You will only need to enter your credit card information the first time you request parking from your cell phone. Credit card charges includes parking purchase, and surcharge of 25ø.
