What is Working Alone?
The term "Working Alone" broadly defines any person who may not have direct visual or audible contact with a supervisor or co-worker while at a job site, whether it is remotely or locally located.

Who does this affect?
Lone workers should not be at more risk than other employees. As a result, many provinces are placing the onus of responsibility on Employers who need to be able to identify situations where people working alone may be at risk and should consider following safe work practices and taking specific precautions.

How does Globalstar Help?
Globalstar can help meet work alone regulations while helping to increase employee productivity by ensuring employees have reliable communications, as well as by providing a system that can be used for scheduled check- ins for employees in remote locations

What measures should be taken?
A workplace safety assessment is the first step in ensuring compliance of work alone needs. Safety precautions should take account of normal work and foreseeable emergencies for example, fire, equipment failure, illness and incidents. Measures should be based on your regions specific regulations, for more information contact us.
